The seven I am Statements

Occurrences of the “I Am That” statements in the Gospel of John

	“I am the bread of life”

In the Indian tradition, Soham (I am that) or Hamsa (that I am) are associated with the movement of the breath.
So stands for the inhalation, Ham stands for the exhalation. Soham/Hamsa, represents the Mantra sustaining breath.
By merging the lower bindu (Prana, the breath – microcosmic) with the upper bindu (Soham – ‘I am that’, macrocosmic), the ultimate spiritual experience is achieved: a union of the individual psyche with the transcendental Self.

The Guru’s feet are the two elements in the mantra So’Ham which means “I am That”.
The Gospel of John contains 14 occurrences of the Soham/“I am That” statement (Greek words: εγω ειμι τo -εγω ειμι η – εγω ειμι η). The Gospel of John contains 14 occurrences of the word feet (πoδας).
